日頃より学校法人京都文教学園の教育活動に対しまして、ご理解とご協力を賜り、厚く御礼申し上げます。
学校法人京都文教学園は、2024年9月6日に開催した理事会・評議員会におきまして、京都文教短期大学の2026年度以降の学生募集を停止し、京都文教大学へ発展的に展開していくことを決定いたしました。
京都文教短期大学は昭和35年（1960年）の設立以来、『仏教精神に基づく人間育成』を建学の精神とし、「謙虚にして真理探究」「誠実にして精進努力」「親切にして相互協同」のもと、有為な人材育成に努めてまいりました。また、これまでに3万7千人を超える卒業生を送り出し、社会のあらゆる分野で大いに活躍されています。
2025年度入学生を含むすべての在学生に対しては、卒業に至るまで現在の教育環境を継続し、学生生活や進路・就職の支援等についても、これまで同様に万全を尽くし、教育機関としての責務を果たすことをお約束いたします。
また、学校法人京都文教学園として社会の多様な教育ニーズに対応するべく、併設の京都文教大学において、短期大学のこれまでの学びを活かした文理融合型の生活工学部（仮称・設置構想中）新設を検討しております。2025年度から京都文教大学総合社会学部に「食マネジメントコース」「スポーツ・健康コース」を新設し、これまで京都文教短期大学で培ってきた家政学の教育、研究を発展させるとともに、京都文教大学こども教育学部の充実を図り「幼児教育の京都文教」の伝統を受け継ぐ準備も進めております。
在学生、卒業生、保護者、受験生の皆さま、高等学校をはじめとする諸教育機関、実習ご協力施設、地域、企業等の皆さまにおかれましては、これまでのご理解とご支援に心より感謝申し上げますとともに、京都文教学園全体として京都文教短期大学の建学の精神と伝統の継承を図ってまいりますので、今回の決定につきましても何卒ご理解賜りますようお願い申し上げます。
なお、在学生には説明会を開催し、ご父母・保証人の皆さま、関係各機関の皆さまには、すでにご報告文書を発送いたしております。
